2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Design, Engine, Release date and Price
The biggest problem should be called AMG GT of any kind. I really don’t. Based on the MRA (Mercedes Rear Engineering), the four-door CLS and E-Class share more than the AMG GT two-door with the frame frame structure.
This means that when we were taken to the exciting Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas to lead 4 new doors, it became clear that Door 4 is a two-door cousin more than a direct brother or sister.
The AMG GT R was driven on a smaller, more compact track last year and was surprised by how capable and agile this car was.
The 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door weighs more than 300 kg of the GT R, so it is not surprising that when chasing her cousin around the COTA, the 63S version of the top rack must be heavily driven to get the GT R tuning speed with its suspension on “comfort” and driver Walk around with one hand on the steering wheel and the other on bidirectional radio. Even the primitive understanding of physics does not make it surprising that a much larger and heavier car than the four doors will punish its tires and work hard to quickly encircle the race track.

The 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door is the pinnacle of the AMG 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine. The two doors achieved the highest 577 hp, but the 4 door has a 630 hp capacity and a huge torque of 664 lb-ft. If the turbine has bothered the heat and humidity, I can’t imagine how ferocious the car is on a cold, dry day.
The 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door models were also available to us for road testing. Here the new 3.0-liter engine is complemented by the company’s EQ Boost Intelligent Alternator which delivers an additional phase of 21 horsepower and an impressive 184 lb. torque before the engine builds its full 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque.
This is an interesting choice for the power train that provides sufficient motivation for the GT 4 doors and releases them to 62 km / h in just 4.5 seconds. The GT 53 tore the rear roads out of Austin and was very nice, although I have to admit that the unique (but very nice) auditory qualities in the embedded line – 6 in the AMG looked incorrect.

In the real world away from the circuit, the 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door is a fully applicable daily driver. With the adaptive driving mode set to “Comfort,” the ride is beautiful despite rolling over 21-inch rubber wheels, of course, the roads in Texas are not beaten and feature a frost as in the north, but the GT 4-door certainly won’t One is fooled into believing it is an S class.
Front seats in press cars were certainly sporty with sufficient support for lateral support on the track, although they did not present an excessive challenge of entry or exit. There are rear passengers with 3 passengers in Europe, but in North America we receive only a copy with two people, where the folding rear seats are optional and a carbon fiber section is removed that promotes structural integrity. Due to the thinnest overall appearance of the GT 4-door (especially compared to the Porsche four-door hatchback model), the leg size and height in the rear seats are impressive. Real adults of this size can sit behind real adults of this size.

Inside, the cockpit design is aimed at the driver with a high central tunnel that separates the occupants of the vehicle at the front.
You need a double hinged elbow for easy access to the super gear lever, but the 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door also has a smooth and reasonable working environment. Particularly nice details on the optional AMG Performance steering wheel are buttons with small LED screens that allow some different functions for each button.
The traditional Binnenacle case is standard, though it can be replaced by an optional 12.3-inch configurable display to complement the 12.3-inch COMAND display on the central dashboard. AMG has added a TRACK PACE function that provides a number of data collection options for different performance metrics, as well as information for various known race tracks, such as the Nürburgring.
This last point drives AMG’s desire that the GT 4-door be taken seriously as a four-door sports utility vehicle; one as at home on a road trip as in a road way. Many manufacturers have these intentions for their sports machines, but AMG engineers and designers have achieved this task.
